I worked at Pacific Bell for over 10 years on many systems performing many roles related to software quality assurance and quality control.
I then worked at Bank of America for over six years. There I help manage the testing for the Bank's massive migration to one Windows 2000 platform. This includes the testing of the platform as well as providing the resources for developers and testers throughout the Bank to test their applications on Windows 2000 including managing a nationwide production representative test environment.
I now work full-time for a company, CACI, that provides long term contract services primarily for the federal government. In support of the Veterans Health Administration I am managing a testing team that provides testing services for several new JAVA J2EE applications and infrastructure components. The overall project's goal is to re-host the very large legacy system currently in place with client and web based JAVA J2EE technologies. I also have the advantage of leading and testing one of the priority applications which enables me to be hands-on and stay current in the testing world.
While much of my effort focuses on testing needs, I'm very big on implementing simple, but well proven standard quality assurance practices that help prevent defects, meet requirements and bring software projects in on schedule. For example, a large effort was made to implement a release management system and processes to capture, prioritize, manage, approve and track changes to the desktop for over 130,000 associates. I proposed this recommendation as well as designed the system and processes to support it.
